Due to the unique work needs of the agriculture industry, The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) announced an additional 90-day temporary waiver from the ELD rule for the transportation of agricultural commodities. The waiver is effective from March 18, 2018 until June 18, 2018.
Beginning April 1, 2018 full enforcement of the ELD will go into effect. The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) offers a website with specific ELD information that helps promote understanding and compliance of the rule. Be sure to make yourself aware of the regulations and enforcement specifications. April 1st is just around the corner!
