Recently, the Town of Ocean City personnel discussed implementation of a storm-drain cleaning project. The project is currently underway throughout the Town of Ocean City. The focus is help alleviate flooding caused during rainfall occurrences, which is a present concern in many communities throughout Ocean City.
The Town of Ocean City has done a great job throughout the years with flood mitigation, receiving a great Community Rating Score with the National Flood Insurance Program through FEMA. This is another step that will not only help with flooding, but could also provide environmental benefit as the drains flow into the bay.
