Deeley Group Serves was recently formed as the employee led philanthropic arm of Deeley Insurance Group.
Deeley Group surveyed our team on how to improve our culture and workplace. We had an overwhelming response for better ways to give back to our amazing community. We are incredibly lucky to work near the beach and for this amazing agency. We believe that this community provides so much for us and we are called to reciprocate. Our executive team supported an employee-driven committee to create and shape an initiative that reflects the heart of Deeley Group employees.
From those meetings, Deeley Group Serves was born. Through Deeley Group Serves, we are serving compassion, serving kindness and serving community. Deeley Group Serves aims to give back to this wonderful community that we live and work in, through agency efforts as well as individual employee initiatives. We adopted Winston Churchill’s famous quote for our motto, “We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.”
For 2017, our team nominated and voted on three charities to partner with – Believe in Tomorrow, Coastal Hospice by the Ocean and The Worcester County Humane Society. We will be partnering with these charities throughout the year, sponsoring events, throwing fundraisers and participating in local activities. We are excited for what these partnerships will bring.
We will also be celebrating our remarkable clients by spotlighting one client’s contributions to the community each quarter.
In addition, many members in our Deeley Group family already support this community in special ways and we are excited to celebrate their service to this community! Deeley Group Serves will be spotlighting one employee’s individual service each quarter. All members of the Deeley Group team also have the opportunity to earn an additional employee benefit of up to 8 volunteer hours for individual service provided.
Deeley Group Serves is also accepting nominations from our team for a charity or cause to receive a monthly $500 donation. January’s recipient was the Stephen Decatur High School After Prom. These amazing volunteers come together and create a fun, safe party for Stephen Decatur High School after prom, and we are happy to support such a wonderful cause!
