The summer months are here and vacation rentals are a popular choice of travelers! Before you rent your property, be sure that you are following the necessary guidelines.
- Check your Community Association rules to make sure they allow rentals and do not restrict the rental time period.
- Review restrictions within your town/city. A business or rental license may be necessary.
- Verify that you have the appropriate insurance coverage. Loss of rents and rental liability need to be added to your condominium unit owner coverage.
- Post community rules within the unit or transfer the rules to any potential rentals with the rental agreement.
- If your community has parking and/or facility passes, develop a way to transfer those to the rental.
