The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued new recommendations for OTR truck drivers to reduce exposure to the coronavirus and to help slow the spread of the infection while on the road.
While many hours are spent in the cab, long haul drivers have increased exposure due to close contact with warehouse and dock workers, truck stop attendants, and others. Touching your nose, mouth or eyes also increases risk after touching surfaces handled by a person infected with COVID-19.
The expanded guidance from the CDC includes distancing, using PPE and hand-hygiene protocols, cab cleaning and more. Click the link below to read the full article.
