This event has been postponed, but the information is still relevant! Keeping people safe, wherever, however, in whatever form, is what it’s all about!
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) announced that the seventh annual National Safety Stand-down to Prevent Falls in Construction, scheduled for May 4-8, 2020, has been postponed.
The National Stand-down was established in order to encourage employers to emphasize the subject and talk directly to workers about fall hazards and prevention. Companies that do not deal with fall hazards are encouraged to still take advantage of the National Stand-down to address other potential hazards in the workplace.
While the formal National Stand-down has been postponed, OSHA has urged employers to take advantage of its resources in order to enhance worker safety.
OSHA noted that it hopes to reschedule the Stand-down this summer.
