We all get tired at work; it’s a fact of life. But fatigue during the day does more than cause some head bobbing. It affects how workers feel, how productive they are, and how safe they are. The results may be small—attention spans that are compromise—or big, including accidents that cause injury.
There are a number of things that people can do before they even get to the office that can help. Sleep, obviously is one of them, as is more healthful eating. But while at work, even small hacks can help; those include a little bit of time outside if possible as well as hydration and general movement throughout the day. As an employer, wellness strategies can aid workers, which in turn impacts the bottom line. Those include a brighter office, stress relief options, and better-for-everyone snacks and drinks.
