Boots, gloves & donuts – let’s clean up!
I’m very proud to be attending the Perdue sponsored Project Clean Stream at the Isle of Wight. On April 11, 2015 with Boy Scout Troop 225, I’ll be wearing
my boots and gloves while eating a donut.
My son has been attending this cleanup spot on an annual basis for the past several years. He and his best friend love the gloves, the yellow/orange vests,
the trash bags and all the donuts they can eat. Over the years, they have cleaned up plastic, glass, flip-flops and animal bones. But nothing beats the
time they found some women’s clothes and dialogued about how she may be wandering around naked.
Many community associations have clean up days. Pick a project in your condominium or community and get one thing accomplished. Pick up with others to
share a sense of pride in your community.
