I got not one but TWO car seats at my baby shower. They were exactly the same; one seat for each vehicle.
At home I opened the great big box, got a
baby-sized stuffed animal and practiced 5 point harnessing. Once I had successfully installed the stuffed animal on three occasions, I moved on to the next
step – Car Installation.
Harnessing the stuffed animal was way easier than car installation. I learned quickly that no one ever passes the State Police check on installing the car
seat appropriately on the first go. Let it go, it doesn’t reflect on your ability as a parent.
Once I had the harnessing and car installation practiced I moved on to mastering burrito swaddling techniques and forgot to fill out the manufacturer’s card on the car seat. In case your card is long gone, The National Highway Traffic Safety
Administration has put together this great CAR SEAT RECALL site
where you can register your car seat for recall notifications.
At Deeley Insurance Group we want to help you protect what matters the most. Let’s keep those littles safe on the road.
