I have lived and worked in Worcester County, Maryland all of my life. In my lifetime, I have evacuated on three occasions. I have been forced to “shelter in place” or stay home more times than I can count. I have learned to find friends who have generators, boats, and construction equipment that can get me out of most perils. However, when the municipality tells me to get out, I GO!
We urge everyone else to go too, and have a plan! Where are you going to evacuate to if a storm comes up the coast at a high strength?
Shelters are available but not comfortable. If you can find a way to leave, then go!
Be Safe. Have a plan!
