In our office when we see the potential for a hurricane brewing in the Atlantic, we call a preparation meeting.
We dust off the Emergency Preparedness Plan and we review who is responsible for what.
It takes about 45 minutes. It is a common belief among the staff if we have that planning meeting it stops the storm from causing any serious damages. We all live and work along the Atlantic Ocean and have the seen the damage the water and wind can cause. It is a matter of luck and timing that has kept our communities safe through many raging storms.
One day our luck may run out and the big storm will come on shore at full force. Deeley Insurance Group will be prepared to keep our business running when our clients need us the most.
I remember my first evacuation (Gloria) and my last evacuation (Irene) – and the storm where I sheltered in place (Sandy). My home and family will be prepared.
Please take a few minutes to make your plan. Be prepared.
