If you’re a fan of parks, Ocean Pines is the place to be with over 10 parks. This Community Association offers a wide range of outdoor activities from classic playgrounds, to walking trails, and even a memorial park.
White Horse Park is the largest park in the community and boasts of a large playground area, a lighted basketball court, a skate park, shuffleboard courts, a horseshoe pit, walking trails, a pavilion, picnic tables and a boat ramp. Growing up as an Ocean Pines kid, this was the place to be! This park is home to the Ocean Pines Farmer’s Market, as well as many other community events.
If you’re in the South end of the community, stop by the Manklin Meadows Park, home of a playground, gazebo, ball field, racquet center, picnic tables, a half basketball court, and a community garden. It may warm your heart to know that this playground was built by members of the community, and boy do the kids love it! On the far end of the playground you can find a small wall with handprints of kids who grew up in the community – look for my purple handprint when you visit!
If biking is your passion, you’ll love Bainbridge Park, featuring a mountain bike and fitness trail. With activities for all ages, this park offers a stocked fresh-water fishing lake, preschool playground equipment, a half basketball court, an adult swing, and picnic tables. This park’s fun fact is that the trail has been adopted by the Eastern Shore International Mountain Biking Association!
Whether you’re in the mood for some playground fun or a relaxing walk among friends, Ocean Pines parks are the place to be.
