We have a new face manning the computer support desk, Matt Ventura. Matt shares about computers, his experience and why he built a playground.
Background
After working every position at Best Buy/”Geek Squad”, Matt joins the Deeley Insurance Group IT team. He brings with him many years of computer
experience, including troubleshooting customer computer problems, rebuilding computers & installing many types of computer hardware.
Goals
Matt is excited to assist the IT team in day-to-day computer operations by resolving help desk issues. He is also pursuing a degree in Computer
Architecture & Information Systems.
Life-work experience
By staying up to date on current technology trends, Matt is journeying in to mobile computing. He is learning how to code applications for the Android
operating system and build custom versions of the operating system. He has also rebuilt 199 computers. I think we may be able to locate the 200 th one for him.
Community Involvement
Matt was awarded the rank of Eagle Scout from the Boy Scouts of America in 2007. For his final project he completely renovated a dilapidated playground.
Many children are enjoying his hard work even today. Matt continues to gives his time to the community by walking the dogs at the Humane Society.
