The Delaware Motor Transport Association is hosting two meetings to establish a position on the Delaware Transportation Trust Fund, potential fuel tax increases and other issues.
They need your help. They have published the following information:
Fix the Delaware Transportation Trust Fund. The fund was created in the 1980's to provide a stable fund for DelDOT road projects. Starting in the 1990's DelDOT operating expenses were transitioned from the general fund to the transportation trust fund. We would like to see the legislature end the practice of using the trust fund for DelDOT expenditures that traditionally have been supported by the general fund and reserve its use for capital road projects.
The meeting will also help to develop a formal opinion in regards to speed limiting devices,
Meetings will be held at Grottos in Dover (1159 N. DuPont Highway) on September 15th and October 20th at 6:00 pm
