The Department of Transportation (DOT) has issued a final rule that adds the opioids hydrocodone, hydromorphone, oxymorphone and oxycodone to its drug testing panel. The main reasons for the additions are to bring the DOT’s regulations in line with guidelines from the Department of Health and Human Services, and to respond to rising levels of opioid use throughout the country.
Visit the DOT’s website to see additional details about the final rule.
