At the end of December 2014, DelDot warned Carriers of a fraudulent scheme involving the Drug and Alcohol Supervisor Training, and we shared that
information with you in this blog. This
month the Maryland Motor Truck Administration is reporting on service providers who are fraudulently representing themselves as government officials with
the USDOT/FMCSA.
When carriers submit information with the FMCSA the information becomes publically available. Solicitations from vendors will become more frequent as the
carrier’s contact information is readily available.
Per Maryland Motor Truck Association – the FMCSA does not:
- Contact Carriers by “robo-call” or other automated telephone solicitations.
- Request credit card numbers by telephone

A lot of the fraudulent information revolves around the new FMCSA regulatory and compliance, drug and alcohol supervisor training, and unified carrier
registration compliance. The more you learn about the new regulations the less likely you will be victim to aggressive tactics of fraudulent vendors.
