Most insurance carriers want to see two years of driving experience prior to covering a driver. So how do you get the driving experience unless you are
insured?
Maryland Motor Truck Association supported legislation that requires the Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation to complete a study on availability
and affordability of insurance for new CDL drivers.
Gary Waldych, Vice President of Transportation at Deeley Insurance Group went to Annapolis to support Senator Middleton’s position that there
is not enough insurance availability for new drivers as they are coming out of driving school.
Thanks to the efforts of the Maryland Motor Truck Association and Senator Middleton this legislation passed, a study will be issued to the General Assembly
by December 1, 2015.
Deeley Insurance Group has recognized these limitations exist in the insurance industry and will continue to actively work with our insurance
carriers to improve availability.
Thanks for reading. Stay tuned. We will update you when the study is published and will continue to work to solve the issue.
