The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued a recall for over 36,000 “Red, White, & Blue Smoke” fireworks manufactured by American Promotional Events and sold under the TNT Fireworks brand. These fireworks can explode unexpectedly after being lit and have already led to three reports of burns to consumers. These fireworks were sold in Illionois, Ohio, Vermont and Wisconsin – so hopefully our area will be spared.
If you have purchased this product barcode 027736036561 it can be returned for a full refund by contacting American Promotional Events. Here are some steps to take if you or a family member has purchased the recalled fireworks:
- Immediately stop using the products and store them in a safe location away from flammable objects.
- Contact American Promotional Events by calling 800-243-1189 or visiting the company’s recall website.
- Call us at (410) 835-2000 for more fireworks safety resources.
