Winter is approaching rapidly! Be sure your homeowners are prepared by sending them these quick home prep tips:
- Have a professional clean your chimneys
- Check window and door sealants to be sure heat is not escaping
- Service your HVAC unit before the harsh weather gets here
- Turn on the heat – be sure to set your thermostat at at least 55 degrees to prevent freezing
- Replace batteries in your smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors
- Replace your detectors if they are over 10 years old
- Check to be sure your furniture isn't blocking your heating vents
- Repair roof leaks
- Clean out your gutters
- Shut off outdoor water valves
