Are you taking care of you?
Lack of sleep causes slowed reactions, cloudy mind and bad moods. It also leads to an increased appetite, over-eating and obesity, because we tend to eat when we are tired. What our body truly needs is SLEEP.
Lack of sleep is also dangerous.
Most drowsy driving crashes occur between: 12 – 2 am, 4 am – 6 am & 2 pm – 4 pm.
Here are some extra measures you could put in place to take care of you:
- Sleep (yes, you just have to make yourself do it)
- Schedule sleep time in your day – just like you schedule drive time, eating time, etc.
- Limit spicy foods, heavy meals & screen time 1 hour prior to sleep time
The trucking profession is stressful; be sure you are caring for YOU.
