Work zone safety is in your hands!
On the news this morning, there was information about Route 113 in Sussex county being shut down for railroad repairs. The Delaware Motor Transport Association then followed up with a great email about all the road closures in Delaware that are happening this spring.
Let's remember that our workers need to be safe and return home every night to their families. The FHA wants you to read this brochure on Trucking and staying safe in work zones.
Some quick facts from the brochure:
- 30% of all work zone crashes involve large trucks
- The number of people killed in work zone crashes involving large trucks has increased over the last 5 years.
- 65% of work zone crashes involving trucks occur during the day.
- The majority of fatal work zone crashes take place on divided, level and straight roadways.
The safety of our workers and drivers is extremely important. Thanks for doing your part in keeping us safe.
Thanks for reading.
